How to book lowest airtickets

Do you travel a lot and need ways to save on your flight tickets?
The very first thing is to know about the Best websites for searching deals.  Most of the flight booking website will have the option to sign-up for e-mail alerts for best deals such as Priceline, Expedia, and LowEndTicket etc.

How to find cheap flights

1. Book your flight tickets as soon as know your travel dates

Generally you would be able to book your flights 11 months in advance.  Airfare fluctuates frequently and it depends on the supply and demand like the stock market. However booking as early as possible will get you an early bird airfare deal.

2. Compare Rates

There’re a lot of flight tickets comparing sites available online. These are online travel agents and airline ticket suppliers to find the lowest price. I like to compare rates on websites such as Kayak, Tripadvisor, lowendticket and they compare the rates for me to find the lowest ticket at once without having to search one by one. The best sites typically match each other flight for flight, to within a few dollars. However Lowendticket was cheapest by $66 for flight from PHL-LHR in my flight search.

3. Be Flexible on your travel dates

Cheaper deals also depend on the day you choose to fly. Usually weekend rates are higher and best days to fly-out is on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. These are usually off-peak days meaning less travelers and lower fares. Fridays and Sundays are typically the most expensive days to fly. If you travel dates are locked, it’s more challenging to find a better deal.

4. Be Flexible on the flying time/hours

Flying at an unpopular hour is likely to get you a better deal. Early in the AM rather than late morning, afternoon and early PM, increases the chances of getting a better airfare.

5. Prefer Round Trip Tickets

Sometimes round trips are cheaper than the one way tickets. Many times I personally booked the round trip because it was cheaper than the one way ticket and just forfeited the return ticket. Sounds crazy but it happens!

6. Longer Stopovers and 1-2 stop flights

Flights with longer stopovers usually have lowest rates as well as 1-2 stop flights will have better price tags than a Non-Stop flight.

7. Consider Alternate Airports

Consider an alternate airport to get a lower fare. For example, rather than flying into (or out of) Cleveland when going to OH, check out Akron-Canton Regional Airport. Parking often costs less at alternative airports than at the big airports.

8. Check-out Last Minute Vacation Deals

Mostly all travel websites will have a last minute vacation deals or Best deals on their home page. Try to plan the vacation where the best deals are available rather than selecting a destination and struggling to find deals and save money.

9. Consider newly launched sites

Newly launched website will offer a better rate to establish their business. I used Priceline when it wasn't that famous and now the prices are gone up high. Recently I have been booking my flights from LowEndTicket which gives you a lowest airfare for international flights.

10. Sign-up for E-mail Notification

I have created a separate free e-mail account specifically for signing up for my favorite airlines, sites to get their promotional offers and newsletters.  Checking it once a while would help you to quickly glance through the new offers/deals.
